September Ipsy Subscription Review

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that is about $10/month. Each month, you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe samples inside a cute makeup bag. If you want to check it out, or subscribe, I have a link to Ipsy below this post.

Don’t we just love getting mail!

September’s theme was Face Fashion!

First off, we have NYX Cosmetics ipsy Eye Shadow Trio! This is an exclusive pallete designed by NYX. There are other colors, of course, right now on sale for $3.00 (originally $6.00). I would give this beauty 4/5 because I have noticed some creasing on my eyelids. You can get 50% off eyeshadow primer & base by using the code: NYXBASESCVRD HERE.

Evelyn Iona Cosmetics Cream Blush in ASH, is the next item I’m not a fan of blush, but I have used it as an eyeshadow base. I guess I don’t like throwing out anything. So this appears to be full size, and if it is, it costs $18.75 for 0.06oz. Good news, though, $1.00 from this product is donated to YWCA Canada! As a blush, 0/5. As a base, 3/5 because it’s not intended to be a base. πŸ˜€ Right now, you can get 20% off by using the code: IPSY2015 HERE.

Next up is the tre’StiQue Mini Matte Lip Crayon. This is only half the product, the full size includes a BB Lip Balm on the other end. I do not like this color. It is too close to my skin color, and it looks like I don’t have lips. This color is getting 0/5! The full size is $28.00, making this worth $14.00. So, if you want to try this, or others like it, you can get 20% off $50.00 or more & free shipping by using the code: IPSYINSIDER20 HERE.

The Bayberry Naturals Rosehip & Hibiscus Moisturizer is the next item. This is only 0.5oz, the full size is 4.6oz for $17.95, making this worth $1.95. I like how it feels on my face, but I hate how watery it is. I tried to squeeze out a little blob, and a whole river flowed out of the tube! Because of this, I am giving this moisturizer a 3.5/5. If you would like to try this, you can get 20% off by using the code: IPSY20 HERE.

Last in the bag was Vasanti Cosmetics Brighten Up! Exfoliating Cleanser. This is 0.7oz (technically travel size which is priced at $10.00), whereas the full size is 4.23oz for $34.00. Based off the full size, this would be worth about $5.63 (way to go doubling the price…). I wouldn’t pay $10 for this little size, but I would pay $5 for it. I really liked the micro scrubbies! They are the perfect size & amount, and I feel like they are doing their job! 5/5!!! If you wish to try this, you can get 30% off by using the code: IPSY30 HERE.

WAIT! THERE’S MORE! I used my Ipsy points to get 2 additional items!!!

First off, I spent 500 points on IT Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Eyebrow Pencil. This is a full size item, I just saw it yesterday in Ulta(beauty store), worth $24.00. One side colors, or gives the appearance of fuller eyebrows, while the other is a eyebrow brush. I really like how layering the pencil makes the color darker. I really think this could work for almost any eyebrow color! I am very happy with my point purchase, 5/5! You can check out their site HERE.

The other item, I spent 250 points on, is Oleum Natural Glow Cleansing Oil for Average Skin. Based off of Ipsy, this is 0.5oz, and the full is 1oz(I doubt… but I don’t know for a fact). If this is the case, the full size is worth $45.00, making this worth $22.50 (see why I doubt this). However, you can get a sample size for $5.99, but I don’t know how much product you will get. I am really happy with this point purchase as well, I really like how it smells, and how it feels on my face… 5/5! You can check out the site HERE.

I guess that is all I have for Ipsy.

Based off my calculations, the five items in this month’s bag is worth about $43.33! I would call that a win, especially since I really like about half of what I received! If you want, I have a link down below to clicky- clicky! πŸ˜€

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. There are tons other subscription services out there, this is just one that I chose to subscribe to.

Last thing I want to talk about, is Pura Vida Bracelets! I have officially become a representative for the company, which means, I have a coupon code to give out! You can click HERE to visit the website and use the code: VICTORIAPIERCE10. With this code, you get a 10% discount on your orders! PLUS, you get FREE SHIPPING on all U.S orders!

The great thing about this, is that with every bracelet purchase, it HELPS provide full time jobs for local artisans in Costa Rica! You can find some really cute bracelets, anklets, or even baby bracelets! They start at $4.00 (on sale), and go up from there. The more “complex” the bracelet, the more it will cost. They have awareness bracelets, which donates to whatever foundation/association that bracelet is giving awareness to.
