August Ipsy Subscription Review

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that is about $10/month. Each month, you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe samples inside a cute makeup bag. If you want to check it out, or subscribe, I have a link to Ipsy below this post.

It’s that time of month again!!!

08 01

August’s theme was Prep School!

08 02

Let’s get started!!!

First thing out of the bag is this noyah Natural Lipstick in Desert Rose. It came in a 0.04oz size (full size is 0.16oz for $18) making this little guy worth $4.50. Personally, I think this shade is a little to soft of a pink for me, but with a light coat, it does look natural. I would give this bad boy 4/5. If you like this item, you can get 15% off with the code IPSYnoyahGIFT HERE.

08 03

Next up is Trust Fund Beauty Nail Polish in Elegantly Wasted. This came in a 15mL size (full size is 17mL for $15) making this baby worth about $13.24. This nail polish needs two coats for it to look good. The shade is beautiful, so I will give this 5/5! If you like this, you can get 35% off with the code IPSYGIRL HERE.

08 04

Next we have JUARA Skincare Turmeric Antioxidant Radiance Facial Mask. This came in a 0.34oz (full size is 3oz for $35) making this worth about $3.97. I don’t feel like it does anything. It is suppose to “detoxify, brighten and strengthen stressed, tired, dull-looking skin in one single application.” My skin still looks the same (I think). I will give this a 2/5. I’ll try it a few more times and see if anything changes, but I’m not holding my breath. If you want to try this, you can get 20% off with the code IPSY2015 HERE.

08 05

Next is Briogeo Blossom & Bloom ™ Ginseng + Biotin Volumizer. It came in a 1oz bottle (full size is 5.1oz for $18) making this beauty worth about $3.53. I love how this spray makes my hair feel after I shower. It’s a silky smooth feeling! 5/5! If you want this, or others like it, you can get 20% off with the code IPSY20 HERE.

08 06

Finally we have Skone Cosmetics Luxe Doubler Eye/Lip Pencil in Wine. This is a full size item (I’m pretty sure) worth $12. I don’t like it as a lip liner, but I love it as an eye liner! (I don’t like how I look with lip liners) So this baby will be getting 4/5! If you want this, you can get 10% off with the code ipsy HERE.

08 07

That is all that we have for ipsy!

08 08

The items in this month’s bag equal out to be about $37.24! With how happy I am with the products, and the value, I would recommend you try ipsy at least once. I have a link down below if you want to clicky-clicky! 😀

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. There are tons other subscription services out there, this is just one that I chose to subscribe to.

That’s all I have for now! Thank you!

June & July Ipsy Subscription Review

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that is about $10/month. Each month, you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe samples inside a cute makeup bag. If you want to check it out, or subscribe, I have a link to Ipsy below this post.

Let’s do June quick & dirty…

June’s theme was “Swim into Beauty”

06 2

First was the J. Cat Beauty Liptitude Hydrating Lip Stain. It is a full size product worth $5.99. It is one of my fave lip products right now! You can get it HERE & 25% off using code IPSY615.

06 7

Next was Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Foundation Primer. It is only 0.25oz (full size is 1oz worth $36.00) making this worth $8.50. I like how sheer it feels! You can get it HERE (sorry, no discount)

06 5

Next was BioRepublic SkinCare Sheet Mask Trio. The masks have a nice cooling effect. Right now, you can get the 8 mask skin kit for $30.00 & free shipping with the code IPSYBIOREPUBLIC HERE, otherwise, one mask is worth $4.99, making this set worth $14.97.

06 3

Next was Glamierre Flat Top Concealer Brush. It’s a small brush and right now, I have no use for it. If you want one, you can get 15% off using the code IPSY15 HERE. This is worth $5.95.

06 4

Last was the tre’StiQue Mini Shadow Crayon. This is only one side of the product. The full product has the smudger on the other end. With that in mind, the full is worth $26.00, and I figured half that price would make sense ($13.00). I really like how nicely it glides on. If you want one, you can get 15% off $35.00 or more & free shipping with the code IPSYINSIDER15 HERE.

06 6

This makes June’s bag worth a total of $48.41! I would call that a WIN!

06 8

July is next!!! The theme is “Summer Lovin”

07 2

Let’s get the ball rolling with the Jelly Pong Pong Cosmetics 2-in-1 Shadow/Liner. Right out of the bag, I would say this pencil is too sharp/hard for my eyes, but with a little work on the tip, it actually looks and feels nice! I’m not sure if this is a full size product yet because according to the website HERE, it’s not yet available for purchase. However, when it does become available, it will be worth $16.00.

07 3

The next item up, is the Jersey Shore Cosmetics Mongongo Vanilla Coconut Cream Lip Conditioner. It does smell like vanilla/coconut, but I can’t say it does anything more than any other chapstick I use. If you like this product, you can get it HERE and 50% off lip conditioners with the code IPSY50. This product is worth $10.00.

07 6

These Crown Brush Professional Tweezers is one thing I am happy for! I was in need of new tweezers, so I’m glad to have gotten these in my bag! They are a hit & miss when it comes to pulling out hair, but I think it works well enough for me. If you like this, you can get 30% off with the code IPSYTWZR30 HERE. These are worth $6.99.

07 5

Next up is the City Color Cosmetics HD Powder. This is only 4g worth of product, compared to 7g for full size ($5.99). This product is suppose to ‘set your foundation for a smooth, matte finish.’ I think it feels soft, and it leaves my face shine free. If you like this, you can get a free contour effects pallet with purchase of $30 or more with the code IPSY30HD HERE. This size is worth $3.42.

07 4

Last is the Coolway Beachy Salt Spray. It is meant to leave you hair looking wavy and beachy. I don’t think it does that to my hair, but then again, my hair is already wavy. The full size is 3.3oz worth $12.95 making my 0.5oz product worth $1.96. If you want this, you can get 35% off & a free knotty girl brush with the code IPSY4U HERE.

07 7

So it looks like this bag is worth a grand total of $38.37! I call that another WIN! I am very happy with the products I received in both of these bags! I use them all almost everyday!!

07 8

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. June & July Ipsy Subscription Review

May 2015 Ipsy Subscription Review

IPSY HAS ARRIVED!!!

05ipsy01

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is, it’s a monthly beauty subscription service that is about $10/month. Each month, you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe samples inside a cute makeup bag. If you want to check it out, or subscribe, I have a link to Ipsy below this post.

This month’s theme is Jetsetter!

05ipsy02

The bag is a nice canvas with a lime green liner. Apparently, not everyone received the same exact printed bag.

05ipsy03

The first item I grabbed out of this lovely bag was Bare Republic Naturals SPF 30 Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion. It kind of smells like coconut or something like it. It is runny, but rubs in nicely. I am very happy with this sunscreen! This is just a sample size of 0.5oz, and the full size is 1.7oz for $14.99, making this worth about $4.41. If you like this, you can get free shipping by using code IPSY2015 – visit this link

05ipsy06

Next, I pulled out Pixi by Petra Beauty Bronzer in Summertime. I don’t like using bronzers, but I thought this made a nice eyeshadow! (yeah, yeah – call me weird) This is a sample size of 0.16oz, and the full size is 0.36oz for $18.00, making this worth $8.00. If you like this, you can get 20% off by using code IPSYMAY15 – visit this link

05ipsy04

Afterwards, I grabbed Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Lip Pencil + BONUS Revolution High-Color Lipgloss in Failbait & in Bittersweet. The pencil is suppose to help make lip color stay on longer. It does feel smooth, but I see no difference in the lasting of my lipsticks. This is a sample size of 0.8g, and the full size pencil is 1.2g for $20, making this worth about $13.33. If you like this, you can visit their website for various colors available with this link.

05ipsy08

Next up was BelláPierre Cosmetics Waterproof Mineral Gel Eyeliner Pencil in Ebony. The tip of my pencil was broken off, but after sharpening it, I can tell you that this is going to be my favorite pencil! It is creamy, making it go on nicely, and it tends to stay on. The only downside: if I rub my eyes too much, it will smear. This is a full size product worth $14.99. If you like this, you can get 15% off by using code IPSYMAY2015 – visit this link

05ipsy07

Last, but not least, was NUXE Rêve de Miel® Facial Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel. It smells nice, and seems to do the job well enough. I’ll have to use it more to know if this is a must have (don’t want it to dry my skin out). This is a sample size of 0.5oz, and the full size is 6.7oz for $19.00, making this worth about $1.42. If you like this, you can get 20% off by using code PARIS2015 – visit this link

05ipsy05

I liked what I received, and if you add up their values, you are getting about $42.15 worth of product for only $10! What a deal! This month was much better than last!

05ipsy09

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. There are tons other subscription services out there, this is just one that I chose to subscribe to.

That’s all I have for now! Thank you!

This next one was Mullein & Sparrow Mini Lip & Cheek Tint Vegan. There is a slight scent to it, but unless you are trying to smell it, you won’t notice it. There really isn’t a tint either. I tried it on my lips, and didn’t notice anything. It is moisturizing though. The full size is 1oz for $22.00 making this .25oz worth $5.50. 04ipsy11

I liked most of the products, and if you add up their values, you are getting $36.49 worth for only $10! Sure, I’m throwing away $15 worth of blush, so with what I liked, I’m still getting $21.49 worth for only $10!

04ipsy12

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. There are tons other subscription services out there, this is just one that I chose to subscribe to.

So I said PLUS MORE in my title. Here is the MORE! Since this month was my birthday, I decided to try Julep. They had a deal where you got your birthday month box free, just pay shipping ($2.99). Inside my box, I was given four products – three nail polishes, and one lip product. The lip product is a “conditioning treatment” in the color Sheer Pink. Julep calls this a Luxe Lip. It smells nice, and has a nice glossy finish to it. The three polishes I received were London: classic with a twist which is a nice purple shade, Zelda: bombshell which is a shimmery gold color, and Leona: diamond for April which is a diamond like glitter.

April 2015 Ipsy Subscription Review PLUS MORE

My March 2015 Ipsy Subscription Review

Today I received my March 2015 Ipsy bag. I decided to do a review of it because I really enjoy getting this each month. I know there are a lot of other subscription choices out there, but I have really enjoyed most of what I have gotten from this service.

03ipsy1

For those of you who do not know what Ipsy is, I will be happy to educate you. Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription service that is about $10/month. Each month, you will receive 4-5 full size or deluxe samples inside a cute makeup bag. If you want to check it out, or subscribe, I have a link to Ipsy below this post.

This month’s theme is Floral Fantasy.

03ipsy203ipsy3

03ipsy4

The first item I pulled out of my makeup bag was Skyn Iceland Solutions for Stressed Skin Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. You place these gel patches under your eyes for up to 10 minutes, once a week. They are suppose to “help firm and de-puff.” I haven’t tested these ones out yet, but I plan on doing so tonight before bed.

03ipsy5

The second item I pulled out was a Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter pencil. It is a creamy skin tone pencil that blends beautifully. I used it on my waterline, and it makes my eyes POP!

03ipsy6

The third item is Pixi by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Duo in Apricot Glow. This is a two shade shimmery eye shadow. The lighter shade is much more shimmery than the darker shade, but I like them both either way.

03ipsy7

The fourth item is Acure Day Cream for your face, neck, and chest. To me, it smells like oranges, and the consistency of it is almost watered down, but silky at the same time… if that even makes sense. I like the moisturizing feel of the cream, but the smell of oranges is a little too strong for my preference.

03ipsy8

The fifth, and final item was Nyx Butter Lipstick. At first glance, I didn’t think I would like the color because it looked a little to brown, and I like wearing reds. However, when I put it on, it worked well with my skin tone. The shade is a little darker than my natural lip color, and it feels creamy on my lips.

03ipsy9

Overall, I really liked the products I received. My favorite would have to be either the Nyx Butter Lipstick, or the Chella Ivory Lace Highlighter.

03ipsy10

Just keep in mind, I am not a makeup professional, nor do I claim to be. I don’t know everything there is to know, heck, I don’t really know a lot. However, I do like learning new things, and I do like sharing what little information I know. Is this makeup subscription right for you? Maybe, maybe not. There are tons other subscription services out there, this is just one that I chose to subscribe to.
